HOH Community Posting Rules

When you join the House of Hair community you promise to not only abide by the rules but agree to help us keep the kind of content off the site that would shut us down. This includes: pornography, and video or pictures showing serious injury or death, which is not good and not funny (we never want to see anyone injured or killed.) For blogs, it means no comments loaded with swear words for no good reason, and no extreme personal attacks on other HOH community members. We're here to dig Metal Music we love, not to be a forum to attack other music genres.

For now, our Webmistress, aka BuzzChic, an actual human, is screening all the video and photo uploads. First, to be sure nothing snarky gets through, and second to prohibit duplicates of music videos being uploaded. One of the things that bugs us is going to video community sites, searching for a band video, and having to slog through 12 copies of the same one... We're just going to let the best version of a song video through -- got a better one than we have? Upload it! BuzzChic will watch it, and if it's better, we'll add yours and delete the other one.

We are dedicated to letting you define the content that is appropriate and that fits the House of Hair community -- so we're giving you access to the audio and blog files you upload immediately, but in order for this to work you need to help. So, don’t upload stuff that you know doesn't fit. Use the "flag this" tag if you see something that you think shouldn't be posted - and if you're right, we'll delete it right away.

If all stays cool, we'll open up Video and Photos for immediate posting as well. In the meantime, our Webmistress, BuzzChic will try to get your Videos approved as quick as possible, and always within 24 hours.

Why can't I see or get access immediately to the video or photo entry I uploaded?

This is a moderated community - the HOH webmistress, aka BuzzChic, an actual human, checks out all the stuff you post and blocks out stuff that's inappropriate for our HOH community or violates musician's copyrights. Hey - we ain't an adult site or PirateBay - so keep it clean out there, Headbangers!

What kinds of material can't I post?

Pornography, and video or pictures showing serious injury or death, which is not good and not funny (we never want to see anyone injured or killed.) And, of course, you know the drill on copyrighted materials, including mp3s of songs - the only Audio (songs) we can post is that of Band ORIGINAL works - songs or interviews - posted by the band members or those individuals who own the copyright to those audio recordings. Please don't upload songs by artists signed to record labels, like stuff from iTunes less the DRM, because we'll just have to delete them anyway.

Do Audio files and my Blog Comments get posted right away?

Yes, uploading Audio and Blog comments will immediately be posted to the site. However, if they contain stuff that's inappropriate, the Webmistress can and will delete them when she sees them.

Can I repost stuff the HOH Webmistress deletes?

Yes, IF you make the changes noted by the webmistress in her return email to you -- However, if they contain stuff that's inappropriate, and you continue to upload them after we delete them and tell you this, we'll probably suspend your account.
