1983 was the year i first saw triumph live.it was the most
electrifying and innovative concert i ever saw.i remember standing in
the second row on the floor and they came out and i was so close to
the stage when the flash pots exploded it singed my eyebrows and they
were absolutely fantastic.rik emmett is absolutely my favorite guitar
player and to see him live was just a thrill that only can be
understood by a live performance.they are the best at what they did
and at the time were at the pinnacle of their success and all i have
more to say is,HEY RIK HOW ABOUT JUST ONE MORE TOUR but if i cant
have that let me relive it again with a live dvd performance.and DEE
SNIDER YOUR ROCK MAN. – Larry

I got to see Triumph on the Allied Forces Tour. I remember
they just blew everyone away with the kickass music and the special
effects( the use of Lasers). When they did Magic Power, a green Laser
formed what looked like a giant green glass triangle. Rik Emmett was
playing his guitar and stepped sideways through the glass, and I
thought this is like magic. That was a long time ago , but I’m 45,
still have the long hair, still bang my head, like my music so loud
that you can hear it in the next time zone. I hope I win so that I
can relive the magic which I haven’t seen in a long time. Keep rockin
Dee , and Long Live The House Of Hair.

I have been a huge Triumph fan since the late ’70s, my first
rock concert was Triumph and Mountain here in Kansas City, back in
1982. My sisters took me against my mother’s wishes, and we had a
blast. I still have the T-shirt I bought for $8 at that show!! I wore
it almost everyday. Since then, I’ve them everytime they came to
town. And I have seen Rik Emmett on his solo tours. I caught him the
first time in ’95 here in town, then my best friend and I drove 9
hours to Chicago to see him at the House of Blues, two years in a
row, 2005 and 2006. We have gotten the chance to chat with him each
time we’ve seen him solo! I want this DVD so bad because: I have one
of the original VHS copies, but I have played it so much, I wore it
out. I have bid on several of these DVDs on Ebay, but I get out bid.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE choose me to win one of these DVDs!!! PS, I
get up every Sunday morning at 8am to listen to HOH on my radio
station. Do you know how hard that is after a night of partying??? I
bet someone there does!! But I do it because…If it ain’t METAL…
Its CRAP!! Thanks Dee!

I was a junior in high school in ’83 and my parents would
not let me go the festival. I begged and begged but I was not allowed
to go see my favorite band of all time, Triumph. I remember loving
Rik Emmitt’s smile (he has always had perfect teeth) and I just was
devastated when I couldn’t go. I would love to win the CD/DVD so I
could actually relive it for the first time.

I was introduced to Triumph’s music back in the early 80s
and immediately became a die-hard fan. I have listened to their music
for so long, I know all the lyrics by heart. There were so many great
bands in the 80’s that it was really hard for any one of them to
stand out. Triumph certainly did in my mind. Their innovative and
positive approach to the metal music industry had a lasting impact on
other bands at that time, as well as future ones. It was great to see
them receive long-overdue recognition for their contributions to the
industry by their induction into the Canadian Rock & Roll HOF. After
all these years I still listen to their music regularly, and it never
gets tiresome. Their entire portfolio of music has always seemed to
fit my life, no matter what was going on in it at the time. That
being said I am sorry to say that for a variety of reasons, I never
had the opportunity to see my favorite band perform live! What a
crying shame. To make matters worse, I know those who have so I know
what I missed. Seeing this historic performance at the US Festival
for the first time would really help make up for that unfortunate
fact. Thanks, Jeff

Triumph Rocks, They are one of The GREATEST 3 man bands ever
along with Rush and ZZ Top. Ric Emmett is simply amazing on guitar! I
was able to see him live in a small venue in the 90s. Emmett is
Awesome! It would be really cool to see these guys put the past
behind them and re-unite. The US show was at their peak even though
they had many more great songs afterwards. I am definitely lacking on
Triumph in my CD Library and would truly love to add this Triumph CD
& DVD to it. Thanx Dee and staff. Keep up the great work on your
fabulous show. I wake up to the show every Sunday morning @ 10am. You
guys ROCK!! Ray Boucher Waterford, MI, WRIF 101-FM

I was there, but as time goes on and brain cells die you
forget things. And that weekend many brain cells died. I was there
all 3 days but I only attended the Heavy Metal Day. Myself and 3
other buddies borrowed my parents old beat down motorhome and spent
the first night in the parking lot warming up for Heavy Metal Day,
along with a few thousand others. Heavy Metal Day was one of the
hottest and smogiest days I have ever seen in So Cal. The beer was
flowing, the chicks were half naked and the stage crews were spraying
the crowds down with water cannons. Could not have got any better than
that. The two bands that to this day stand out in my mind were
Triumph and the Scorpions. They blew the smog right out of Glenn
Helen that day. On the other hand the most disapointing band hands
down was Van Halen. Roth was so drunk that he didn’t even know the
words to his own music. For a 18 year old kid to attend that was the
best concert that could of ever been put on stage. I do not have any
pictures of that day and my one and only US Festival Heavy Metal Day
T-Shirt has turned to dust long ago. Reliving that day with the
Triumph CD/DVD would make a transplanted Metal Head in Wyoming very
happy. Thanks Dave

Truimph is the most underated band ever. i see it as my
personal mission to expose as many people as possible to the sweet
guitar licks of rik emmett along with gil moore’s bonham like
druming. the harmonies of magic power and hold on to the thundering
roar of rock and roll machine make triumph one of the greatest bands
of all time. i wasn’t there at the us fesital but if it happened
today i would do whatever it took to see them. only this dvd/cd will
satisfy my appetite for triumph until there is a reunion. you don’t
know rock and roll until you know Triumph!

I didn’t see, hear nor smell that day at the festival. As a
matter of fact I was in northern Manitoba at the time, likely
listening to one of Triumph’s albums. ‘N I ain’t kiddin’! I remember
listening over and over again to “Rock ‘n Roll Machine.” The song has
a great, loud listening lead guitar solo. I would lay on the floor
between the speakers and rustle around til I found the sweet spot.
Right perfectly, exactly, precicely in the middle of the speakers.
The stereo was already cranked to the song before which just happened
to be their version of Rocky Mountain Way. An excellent version it is
too. Then I’d lie in wait while the needle moved across the dead –
empty section of the vinyl. It seemed like forever then suddenly the
song burst into my head with a roll of the drums, a slap of the bass
and a quick shot of Rik’s guitar all at once to open up the song.
Maaaaaan that is really something to listen to whilst lieing there
relaxed. As a teenager I went to see the Just A Game concert and
still have two tee-shirts. One brother and I would play the game on
the inside of the fold out album cover. I think I have everything
they ever released . I recently picked up from Winnipeg’s only real
rock station- 92 CITI fm , Triumph’s Classics CD. I listen to these
fellas on a regular basis and have for 30 years or more. It isn’t
about to stop. I can’t re-live the US festival but I’d sure like a
chance to Live it. Thanks for your time folks.
Thanks to ALL the HOH and Triumph Fans who entered the Triumph CD contest!
