From the we really, really, really, really mean it this time department, Guns N’ Roses has set November 23 as the release date for their long-awaited studio album, Chinese Democracy.
The new album will mark a gap of 17 years since the band released a studio album of original songs – the last new music we heard from the band was 1991’s Use Your Illusion I and II (‘93’s The Spaghetti Incident? was all cover tunes). Numerous songs from Democracy have been leaked over the long wait between albums – but there are still a few (okay, maybe three) that haven’t been heard live, or on a video game (“Shackler’s Revenge” on Rock Band 2) , a film (“If The World” from Body Of Lies) or via unauthorized online leaks.
Chinese Democracy will be sold exclusively through Best Buy and BestBuy.com and will be available in CD, album or digital download form. Fourteen tracks will run ya about $20 for vinyl and $12 for CD.
