Here’s something you probably missed during the recent Olympics: Australia’s synchronized swimmers supported favorite sons AC/DC with a routine done to a medley of the band’s music. “We wanted something classically Australian and with a very strong beat,” said swimmer Eloise Amberger. “It was a joint idea of ours and our coaches. We were very proud and honored to be swimming to some Australian music. It was [a gamble] but we thought it was suitable. It’s very strong, it’s dynamic, it’s Aussie. It just helped us get into the groove.”
The team scored the lowest of all eight Olympic finalists during their performance on August 10…bummer. Here’s the team doing it before the Olympics final; forward to 1:28.
