Dave Mustaine of Megadeth is gearing up for Gigantour 2013, his much-anticipated semi-annual concert festival. Dave posted online this week, “Finalized the bands for Gigantour 2013 and have to admit, I am hella impressed. Details coming soon.” Last year’s Gigantour featured Motorhead (among others).

Guitarist Tino Troy (Praying Mantis, Clive Burr’s Escape) posted the following photo of his program from former Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr’s funeral on March 25. Clive passed in his sleep on March 12 after battling multiple sclerosis for years.

Said Tony on his Facebook page, “I attended the funeral of our good friend and fellow musician Clive Burr yesterday. It was an honour to be one of the pallbearers and good to see so many old faces there. It was a moving service but a beautiful celebration of his life too. Like them skins…ya hit us hard, mate! RIP and thank you bro! x”

Bobbie Brown, actress/model/video vixen and former wife of the late Warrant singer Jani Lane, is putting the finishing touches on Dirty Rocker Boys: Love, And Lust On The Sunset Strip, a new rock n’ roll tell-all that will go on sale Christmas Eve (December 24).

“Before there were sex tapes, there were sexy videos,” reads promotional material for the upcoming book. “And before there was Pamela Anderson, there was Bobbie Brown. Dirty Rocker Boys: Love, And Lust On The Sunset Strip is the outrageous true story of a Louisiana beauty queen who became an L.A. goddess, and the dozens of celebrity encounters, rock stars, and tumultuous affairs that followed — Tommy Lee, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Slash, Dave Navarro, and more.”

King’s X frontman Dug Pinnick’s new solo effort, Naked, will be out on May 7th.

Guitarist Slash asked artist Ron English to collaborate with him on the cover of his 2010 self-titled debut album. The result was an interpretation of Slash’s iconic skull with a top hat; now, in response to the cover’s popularity, English and Slash have created a limited edition fiberglass bust of the now iconic image.
Check out English’s site for more info. Whoa, that’s EXPENSIVE ($7,500)!

Richie Sambora has left Bon Jovi – at least for now – due to “personal issues”. Apparently, the “issues” are not substance abuse related, as Sambora is reportedly clean and sober.

Supposedly, the reason Sambora is on the beach now is because of a classic Mick Jagger/Keith Richards blowout between Jon and Richie. Let’s hope this can all be resolved soon.
