Adrenaline Mob performed last Saturday night at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ in a tribute to A.J. Pero. Pero, 55, passed away Friday, March 20, of a massive heart attack while sleeping on the Adrenaline Mob tour bus. Pero, longtime drummer of Twisted Sister, would play with Adrenaline Mob in between Twisted Sister commitments.
Twisted Sister bassist and founder Jay Jay French joined the band on stage and told a favorite joke of A.J.’s, followed by a blistering performance of “You Can’t Stop Rock ‘N’ Roll”.
Rock photographer and friend Mark Weiss says, “What an amazing drummer and person. From the first time I shot him in 1984, he gave me attitude – good friendly rock n roll attitude. He will be missed but not forgotten!”
