Lemmy Is ‘Feeling Much Better’ After Latest Health Scare
Mötorhead fans who were worried by the cancellation of the band’s appearance this past weekend at the Monsters of Rock Festival in Sao Paolo can breath easier. Lemmy Kilmister’s recent health woes were merely the result of food poisoning.
As Mötorhead wrote on their Facebook page, “Due to a food-related tummy problem, unfortunately, Lemmy was not able to perform the show in Sao Paulo. He is already feeling much better and ready to continue the South America dates! Next stop Curitiba! Lemmy regrets this mishap very much and is looking forward to making it up to all the fans.”
Sebastian Back Apologizes for Skid Row Stupididy
Sebastian Bach would like to apologize to Skid Row fans because he claims that Skid Row does not acknowledge their legacy. He vents, “I go to Amoeba Records and I buy a 180 gram vinyl Rush Fly By Night and it is the greatest feeling. I am so excited that they put out these albums and I can go there and get a new copy with all the packaging and the stickers and the downloads. The Rush Sector 1 box set with the first album — I took it out and put the poster on the wall of our garage. It’s so fun.”
“Skid Row fans do not get that opportunity. I would like to say, it’s out of my control. It makes me heartbroken that the first Skid Row album came out 25 years ago and there is not a 180 gram vinyl addition with a poster — it makes me nuts. It makes me crazy, if you want to know the truth.”
“I don’t even have to be in the same room with those guys to do that s–t. Why don’t we embrace the legacy like every other band? All I mean by that is put out a DVD, put out a vinyl record, put out a box set. I would like to apologize to my fans and Skid Row fans. I’m sorry that you can’t go enjoy what we made for you. It doesn’t exist. There’s not one DVD of our videos. You cannot go and buy a DVD of the “18 and Life” video — it doesn’t exist. Why? I mean why?”

Black Sabbath Will Be Back Next Year
Ozzy Osbourne has confirmed that Black Sabbath will record a new album in 2016, with a series of farewell dates to follow. “The plan is that next year, [we’ll do] the final Black Sabbath tour and [another] album,” Osbourne said during a Q&A for the Monsters of Rock festival in Brazil.
“It took [Black Sabbath] 45 years to get our first No. 1 album,” Osbourne added. “And Tony — I was amazed at what he was [coming up with], considering that he was fighting cancer. He’s doing great now. I text him now and again. He sounds fine.”
Black Sabbath’s 13 didn’t include fellow co-founding member Bill Ward, and a very public feud between Osbourne and drummer Ward sadly continues. Ward says he has not been contacted about these new Black Sabbath sessions.
In other Osbourne news, VH1 has scrapped the scheduled reboot of The Osbournes series.
Duff McKagen Releases New EP and Book
Former Guns ‘N Roses bassist Duff McKagan will issue a three-song companion EP, “How To Be A Man”, on the same day (May 12) as his new book, “How To Be A Man (And Other Illusions)”. The EP features former Guns ‘N Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin, Alice In Chains vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell, Stone Sour drummer Roy Mayorga and drummer Taz Bentley. It will be available for pre-order beginning May 5th.
In “How To Be A Man”, McKagan shares the wisdom he gained on the path to superstardom. Among the book’s many highlights:
• McKagan discusses the need for communication in your relationships, especially when you want to see the Buzzcocks in Manchester and your lady has her sights set on Duran Duran in the tropics.
• Together with Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, he solves one of life’s most staggering math problems: if you’ve seen a million faces, is it truly possible to rock them ALL?
• He spills the beans on some of his fellow rock stars (“Gene Simmons is a kick-ass dancer,” “Perry Farrell is an NFL historian and aficionado”).
Sounds like a book we want to read! Watch Duff here when he recently rocked out on stage with Faith No More.

Don Dokken Shares Story of Knife-Wielding Stalker Chick
Don Dokken recently told the Washington Times, he’s seen some over-the-top fans in his day — none more so than the girl who actually climbed over the top of his fence in order to settle a score.
“I had a stalker in 1992 — this Japanese girl who saved up all her money and came to America. She somehow found my house. I had this place with big old Spanish gates and a 10-foot wall,” he explained. “I came home from the studio about 7 in the morning, and this Japanese girl was sitting in my driveway waiting for me with a big butcher knife. She actually scaled the wall. She said, ‘You lied to me. You lie to your fans. You have children. You’re married. You say you’re this available bachelor.’ ”
As Dokken tells it, he had children but wasn’t married — not that it made any difference in the moment. “She started coming toward me. I backed out the gate, closed it and jumped in my car [and] ran into a cop car a few blocks away. They went to the house, and she was just sitting there with a butcher knife,” he recalled. “They got it away from her, put her in the psych ward and shipped her back to Japan.”
