Jon Bon Jovi Says “Two F—ers” Are Keeping His Band Out of the R&R Hall of Fame
Jon Bon Jovi has revealed that he had a “big falling out” with one of the people who runs the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and says more than one member of the Rock Hall’s voting board has “made it their personal mission” to keep his band, Bon Jovi, from being inducted.
“I called [the guy] a few choice words,” the singer said to Howard Stern (as reported by NJArts). “And I’m never shy, when I see him, to call him a few more choice words. And there’s other guys on that thing that have made it their personal mission to f— with me. And that’s okay. I get it. I’ve sold more records than their artists.”
Bon Jovi didn’t say which members of the board he was talking about. When asked by Stern “who would argue” against his band’s inclusion, the singer replied, “These two f—ers in the room.” Bon Jovi have been eligible for induction since 2009, the 25th anniversary of their 1984 debut album, but have been nominated only once, in 2011.

Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson Pulls Pints of Trooper Beer at Cardiff Pub
Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson turned up behind the bar at Cardiff’s Fuel Rock Club on October 20, reports WalesOnline.
The pub had just installed the band’s new Trooper Red ‘N’ Black Beer. The pub’s owner Rob Toogood said: “We never know exactly if Bruce is going to come but when I bumped into him backstage at a show in Barcelona he told me to let him know when I had the new beer in and he promised to pull a few pints for us. His son Griff was playing across the road with his band SHVPES so we guessed he might be about. He stayed most of the night just mingling, chatting, and posing for pics.”
Dickinson declined special treatment as the owner asked if he would like his own section of the bar. “He looked at me and said, ‘Who for? I’m not Kim Kardashian!’”
Alex Van Halen and Michael Anthony Speak For First Time In A Decade
Former Van Halen bass player Michael Anthony has revealed he recently chatted by phone to drummer Alex Van Halen, ending a decade-long standoff.
The Van Halen brothers replaced Anthony with Eddie’s son Wolfgang in 2007, leading to years of bad blood, especially after old album covers were edited to remove Anthony’s images.
“Later on we were at my house, my buddy and myself, and his phone rings, and it’s Alex. He’s all, ‘Hey, tell Mike I said hi!’ Next thing I know, he’s handing me the phone – ‘Here, Al wants to talk to you.’ I’m like, ‘What?’ This was this past May, and I hadn’t spoken to Alex in, like, ten or eleven years.”
Anthony reports the conversation consisted of “nothing heavy,” adding that they “didn’t want to get into anything about the band.”
“But it was just great to talk to him,” he says. “We talked for about 20 minutes and had a great conversation about life in general, getting older, and what’s going on around us in the music industry.”
Anthony is cautious about whether the thaw could lead to a reunion – and he’s also admitted he has doubts over the supposed reconnection between Eddie and ex-singer Sammy Hagar.

Couple Encounters a Black Metal Band in Woods During Engagement Shoot…Hilarious Photos Ensue
John Awesome and Nydia Hernandez were having a lovely engagement photo shoot in Holy Jim Canyon, California, when they encountered something unusual: a black metal band in the middle of the woods.
The band, Coldvoid, was also in the area shooting promo photos for its music, using the full moon on Sunday as a menacing backdrop.
“During the last part of the session, we noticed a few guys with some corpse paint makeup on sitting at a nearby bench blaring out some black metal music,” Awesome, 34, of Orange County, told ABC News. “We just randomly thought it would be a funny idea if we could get them to be a part of our engagement shoot. So we approached them and asked and they were more than happy to accept! Super nice people. I seriously can’t make this stuff up.”
Dressed in head-to-toe black clothing with lots of leather and spikes, Coldvoid even had creepy props with them, including a candelabrum, nails and swords, which definitely made for interesting engagement pictures when they crashed the background of the couple’s photos.
“They gave us a copy of their new demo and it was the perfect eerie soundtrack for the drive out of the woods,” said the photographer, Janet Wheeland. “It was a perfect, spontaneous finale to our photo shoot. We couldn’t have planned it better.”
Metalheads Say The Damnedest Things
“My most treasured possession is… my collection of rubber ducks. I have around 100 of them. Fans bring them to shows for me. I’ve got some really cool ones – I have (baseball player Derek) Jones, a Frank-N-Further one (from his film The Rocky Horror Show). They sit on the top of my road case in the dressing room every show.”
