NEW RELEASES
Def Leppard Announce New Live Concert Video and Release Song Video for “Let’s Go”
Def Leppard have announced the release of a new live film called “And There Will Be A Next Time – Live From Detroit” and they have release a video for the song “Let’s Go”.
Due February 10 via DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2CD and Digital Video, the project captures the band in concert at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI on their 2016 summer tour of North America.
“I had this idea that we should film one of the shows from the 2016 tour because apart from the ‘Viva Hysteria’ shows, we hadn’t actually had a live performance filmed since 1988,” says Joe Elliott. “With a new album out that was being so well received, it was just a case of where to do it. From the second the house lights went down, we could see the sun setting from the stage, and the energy from the crowd just seemed to intensify. It was a good choice and a great way to document Def Leppard in 2016.”
Def Leppard are giving fans the chance to gain early access to tracks from the package and merchandise via a PledgeMusic campaign and are planning a 2017 tour with dates expected to start in late spring.

Sammy Hagar New “When The Party Started, Vol. 1” Album Due Out This Week
Sammy Hagar will release a new compilation, “This Is Sammy Hagar: When The Party Started, Vol 1”, on November 18.
Explains the Red Rocker, “This CD is a collection of what I feel are the best songs I wrote post-Van Halen that mostly didn’t get a lot of mainstream attention. When I left Van Halen, I formed the Wabos as an alternative to the superstar big-time, high-maintenance commercial world I had been living in since I joined Montrose in 1972.
Hagar states. “I played hundreds, maybe thousands, of shows anywhere and everywhere without a set list and built a hard-core following of ‘Redheads’. They were really into what we were doing. The birthday bash in Cabo got to the point where thousands of people were sleeping on the streets to hang out with us, and live the life we were living. These are some of the special songs, and some of the special times in my musical life, that I want to share with you in this special collection.”

Ratt Singer Stephen Pearcy Confirms January Release for his “Smash” Solo Album
Stephen Pearcy, best known as the original vocalist and founding member of the platinum rock band Ratt, has confirmed January 27 as the release date for his fourth original solo album, Smash. Digital pre-orders include an instant download of “I Can’t Take It”.
“It took long enough to finish the new record Smash and it is well worth the patience taken, giving every song as much attention as the next. Erik Ferentinos (lead guitars & co-writer), Greg D’ Angelo (drums) and Matt Thorne (bass, keyboards) and myself didn’t settle on any first, second or third takes. We let some songs grow if needed, then go back and complete it. We’re very happy with the outcome, that we were able to experiment and grow with the new songs,” says Pearcy of the new album.

Metalheads Say The Damnedest Things
“[My heroes are] People who challenge the status quo. In no particular order: my dad, Steve Jobs, James Hetfield, [painter] Mark Rothko. People who encourage you to be selfless, like [Salesforce CEO] Marc Benioff. People like Ritchie Blackmore who are completely impulsive – you have no idea what’s gonna come out of his mouth or his guitar three minutes from now. [Metallica co-manager] Cliff Burnstein always taught me to think differently and independently and outside the box. He [James Hetfield] is just the coolest musician. He’s put up with my shit for 35 years, so there’s gotta be appreciation in there for that. Sometimes I think he may be underappreciated in terms of just how vast his talent is.”
~ Lars Ulrich of Metallica in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.
