Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi to Undergo Throat Surgery
In a new interview with the Irish Times, Iommi revealed that he’s about to have surgery on a lump the doctors found at the back of his nose in the throat area.
“I went for a check four weeks ago and the doctor said that at the moment there is no activity where I had the cancer before, but there is activity in the throat,” explained the guitarist. “When I get back to England, I have to have an operation to remove this thing at the back of my nose. The doctors found a lump there and we don’t know if it is cancer or what, but I feel OK at the moment.”
Iommi talked of how his lymphoma cancer diagnosis in 2012 changed his perspective on life: “I was knocked for six when the doctors told me that it was stage III cancer. It really did change my life as far as what I have to do now. I have to live what life I’ve got because I have been on the road nearly 50 years. I need to be at home more and I need to pay more attention to my friends and family.”
He went on to add, “The lowest moment was being diagnosed. You automatically wind yourself up saying, ‘That’s it then,’ but that is not always the case. When they tell you, you think, ‘Oh God.’ That was a low time. I have had a few low times in my life like everybody has, but that was one that stuck in the head.”

Sebastian Bach and Skid Row Managers in Talks About Reunion
When asked about the possibility of a Skid Row reunion, Bach was sparse on details, but didn’t rule this out when he stated, “All I can say is that [my manager] Rick [Sales] is talking to [Skid Row’s early manager] Doc [McGhee].”
“That’s all I can say. That is what is happening and I don’t have anything else to tell you,” he continued, injecting his usual bit of humor stating, “All I can tell you is we’re not getting any younger, folks. [Laughs] Let’s put the hair band back together while we’ve got hair. [Laughs]”
Sebastian Bach Shares His Headbanger Hair Care Secrets
Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach discusses his new autobiography, 18 And Life On Skid Row, and trades hair care secrets.
When asked how he managed to keep his tousled golden mane so rock-perfect since the ‘90s, Bach said: “It’s like a lawn. Just fucking leave it. Let it go. Do you ever see bums with short hair? No, they’ve all got kick-ass long fucking hair, lying in the street. Fucking let it be a bum.”
His wife, Suzanne interjected, “We use keratin.” Bach added: “If you must know the truth, at my age it’s necessary for me to have the Brazilian blowout.” He runs his fingers through his hair. “This is the Brazilian blowout, ladies.”
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne to Renew Wedding Vows
“Ozzy has asked me to renew our wedding vows and I’d like to,” Sharon told the Daily Mail. “I’m happy and to be honest, that’s all I want for Christmas this year,” she continued. After a bumpy first half of the year where Sharon revealed Ozzy had cheated on her with five women in five different countries, their relationship has been on the mend.
“In my life I have been so blessed but when one side of your life is so brilliant other things can suffer. It is hard when you are both successful and both working away,” she conceded. “It is easy to take each other for granted. We have been married for 35 years and been together 38 years. You have to have some ups and downs.”

Alice Cooper Recording Demos for Next Album
In a recent interview with Arizona Republic, Alice Cooper revealed that he’s begun recording demos for his next album, which will include contributions from surviving members of the original Alice Cooper band – Dennis Dunaway (bass), Michael Bruce (guitar) and Neal Smith (drums)
“We’re recording demos right now. We’re writing and recording demos,” says Alice. “We have three songs from the original band that we’re gonna look at and see if we can turn them into something. If not, we tried. But Neal and Mike and Dennis and I wrote songs together. And what we always do, we know the best 10 songs are gonna make the album. It doesn’t matter where they came from. I’m gonna always write the lyrics. And I’m gonna always arrange it. And Bob (Ezrin)’s always gonna produce it. If the song comes from Neal, Mike and Dennis, great! I would love that. We have those songs sitting there. We just have to see if they fit in.”
On whether or not this will be a concept album, Alice states: “Not really. Not really much of a concept. It’s gonna be a pure riff-rock-and-roll album. If anything, we gonna try and make it as close to Killer and Love It To Death as possible.”
In more Alice news, the shock rocker has scheduled his first UK headline tour in five years for November 2017. Support will be provided by The Mission and The Tubes.

Metalheads Say The Damnedest Things
“For me, I can’t really say it’s outrageous, but it’s really the gifts they bring. For some reason, especially back in the ’80s because I posed on the cover of my album with a bloody bone, they figure for some reason I wanted bloody bones. So fans would bring me bloody bones. And I’m like…”Eww! That was a metaphor! You know, stay hungry, I’m like a trapped animal, fighting!” But yeah, they don’t get the metaphor. Nope, they’re like “Look, I brought you a bloody bone!” I’m here just going, “Thank you! I’ll put it with the rest.”
But for them … occasionally, people would try to climb over the wall fence of my house back in the day. My response would be to go and get my chainsaw, fire it up, and chase them outside the property. But many people didn’t believe I actually did that. I was on “The Howard Stern Show” once and I started talking about this. One guy called up, “That was me! He’s not lying!” Howard was like, “Oh Jesus, I thought you were making that up.” But these people are on my property! I was just protecting myself. With a chainsaw. So yeah, I’m not a good person to stalk. Dee doesn’t do well with stalking. But my wife always says, ‘That’s how you courted me.’ “
~ Dee Snider on his most outrageous fan encounters, as told to Fox News Magazine.
