Quiet Riot to Re-Record Road Rage Album with James Durbin on Vocals

Quiet-Riot-Joe-Tamel

Quiet Riot’s 13th album, Road Rage, has been postponed to summer 2017 in order to have new vocalist James Durbin re-record the vocal tracks. American Idol alumnus Durbin replacedSeann Nicols as the singer of Quiet Riot in early March.

Quiet Riot bandleader Frankie Banali said of the band’s decision, “After careful consideration, with the support of Frontiers [record company] and understanding the appeals from Quiet Riotfans to have our vocalist James Durbin represented on the new Quiet Riot release, we have made the decision to move forward and have James replace all the vocals on Road Rage with new lyrics and melodies for a summer 2017 release. Metallica Release Dress Rehearsal Video for Botched Grammy Awards Gig with Lady Gaga

Metallica this week shared video footage of their 2017 Grammy Awards dress rehearsal, saying, “Perhaps you’ve heard by now that we experienced a slight bit of a technical difficulty when we hit the stage at the Grammy Awards with Lady Gaga a little over a week ago ‘ hmm, would that qualify as an understatement?!?”

They continue, “We’ve had so many of you ask and wonder ‘what if,’ so we thought it might be fun to also share with you what happened just a few hours earlier that day at the dress rehearsal with all cylinders firing just right. Collaborating, hanging and performing with Gaga was easily one of the most exciting, inspiring and enjoyable experiences of our career – she BRINGS IT every single time!! All we have to say is that we absolutely cannot wait until next time!”

Metalheads Say The Damnedest Things

“There’s gonna be a day in the not-so-far future when it is gonna be ‘the last’. That’s an emotional strain that I don’t think any one of us are brave enough to say, ‘this is the date’. But we are thinking… not thinking, we are realizing that that time is creeping up, every day that goes on those numbers mount up, and it’s inevitable. I know we sort of feel differently about this, but I think this will be the last big major world tour. Not that it’s physically demanding; we tour very easily, but it could take two or three years.”
