Dee Snider‘s disowning and criticizing a group of anti-maskers who recently tried to spread their message and their germs at a Target in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida while blasting Twisted Sister’s iconic “We’re Not Gonna Take It.” FYI, Target has required masks in its retail stores since July and provides them to customers for free. Broward County, where the Target is located, also requires facial coverings in public spaces. According to South Florida’s Sun Sentinel, Broward County fined Target for not enforcing the mask law, and it mailed protesters they could identify $100 citations.
In response, Snider tweeted, “No…these selfish assholes do not have my permission or blessing to use my song for their moronic cause. #cuttheshit”
The “march” was organized by Chris Nelson, the Floridian behind the group “ReOpen South Florida.” He said he organized a “flash mob” in celebration of Burn Your Mask Day to “spread some freedom dust over the shoppers and employees of Target!” (Is that a real thing???)
The Florida Health Department recently reported 671, 235 coronavirus cases and 12,938 deaths since the pandemic started.
Wait ’til Dee sees this one!!
